A message from VCCI’s newly elected President, Mr. Antoine Boudier
It is with great pleasure that I can now share with you that I have accepted the role of President of the VCCI Council. It is also with great pleasure that I can announce I am joined by James Roy Matariki who will be working alongside me as VCCI’s 1st Vice President for the next 2 years, joined by David Russet at 2nd Vice President.
The Council is also joined by Julia Johnstone as Air Transport representative, and we welcome back Julia King for another term as Women’s Group representative and David Russet as our Agriculture representative.
Many of you may know me from my roles on various boards and associations. For those of you who do not, I was born here in Vanuatu, and have spent my lifetime being a part of the development and growth of this nation since Independence.
I run my own business, VATE Electrics, which employs over 40 fulltime staff in Port Vila and in the islands.
I am heavily involved in VASANOC and the Olympic committee, as well as sitting currently on the Board of the VNPF and the Price Control Advisory Committee. I am committed to a vision of a healthy and prosperous Vanuatu.
As we head towards the commemoration of 40 years of independence I would like us as a nation to focus on supporting one another to build back our proud nation’s economy and together look forward to a brighter future.
I encourage the Government to work hand in hand with the private sector as we are stronger together.
Congratulations to the Vanuatu Government and people of Vanuatu, and HAPPY YUMI 40 Independence Anniversary!
Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday period,
Antoine Boudier
President of VCCI
