Announcing the 2022 Annual General Meeting for the Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Dear Members,
Now that restrictions have been lifted, VCCI will be hosting its Annual General Meeting in June. There are 8 seats up for election this year, and we encourage all interested to put their names forward. More information below in detail. Please note we have made some changes to proxy voting, and want to make sure that all members are informed of this. We also want our members to know what we are doing to make sure that we are truly a national representative body, and that we are focused on supporting businesses not just in Port Vila.
In 2021 VCCI reformed the Santo business sub-committee. This committee of business men and women meet monthly and are joined by a member of VCCI to ensure that relevant issues, matters and are taken up the chain so to speak. The same approach will be taken when borders re-open to Tanna, where we look forward to engaging with the existing business community network to form a sub-committee there, to be followed by Malekula, and Torba and other provincial locations to follow.
This approach to better service and engage with our provincially based businesses was developed as part of our strategic plan 2022-2026. We will focus on expanding our reach, support and representation to all provinces as budget allows.
