Dear Members, to close off the week we would like to inform businesses in Santo about our stimulus package team coming there next week and 5th CIIE Expo to be held in China, read below for more information.

VCCI Stimulus Package Team to be in Santo next week
We would like to advise businesses in Santo that  we are sending a team to there next week to help in processing applications for businesses wanting to access the third stimulus package rollout by the Government.

The team will set up at the VCCI Office in Santo, located beside the Asia Motel in Luganville, where they will start receiving business clients on Tuesday, 24th May 2021.

The team will be in Santo till Thursday next week to help clients fill up their application forms 8:30am – 4:00pm each day, so come and meet our friendly staffs.

Please note, if you were successful in applying for SBG in 2021, you will automatically be paid the SBG for 2022. You do not need to re-apply.

For the WSS, the same principal applies. If you were successful in applying for the WSS in 2021, you will automatically be paid the WSS for 2022. You will need to continue to submit your VNPF staff schedule and payment receipts as per the current process.

The 5th China International Import Expo to be held in Shanghai
The Chinese Embassy here in Vanuatu wishes to inform business owners that the 5th CIIE 2022 will be held this year in Shanghai, China from 5th November to 10th November 2022.

For businesses who wish to participate, contact Dero Tawi at the Department of External Trade on email dtawi@vanuatu.gov.vu and if your business selected to participate in this expo you will need to sign a participating contract with the CIIE Bureau before the end of this month, May 2022.

Similar to previous events, you will be sending only your products to Shanghai to be exhibited at the EXPO where the Vanuatu Consulate in Shanghai and Ni – Vanuatu students studying there will help look after your products in the booth.

Businesses selected will be allocated two free standard booths where their products can be showcased from but you need to start preparing your products now, ensuring it be ready and delivered to Shanghai by October. The Vanuatu Government and the Chinese Embassy in Vanuatu will support you with the shipping costs to ship your products to China if needed.
