VCCI’s Business Training Officer Irene Titek recently completed a 4 day intensive training to Telecom Vanuatu Limited (TVL) Retail Unit staff on ‘Delivering Excellent Customer Service’.
A total of eight participants attended the training in early July 2019, held in TVL’s Training Room.
Aspects of the training were focused on self-reflection and staff learning about themselves and their personality types. From this self-analysis participants learnt ways to utilize their skills to better serve customers and contribute positively in the workplace.
The training included interactive discussions between the participants on challenges facing the current TVL operations staff, and creating solutions to these challenges, which can then be reflected back to senior staff within the organization. This solutions based approach to problem solving can be interpreted into operational plans and manuals that underpin the success of TVL to reach its organizational goals.
Feedback from training participants included:
‘The most important thing I learnt is about is how my attitude and behavior can affect my relating to a customer. Also I need to focus on what my deliverables are in order to reach our shared goals at TVL’
‘I like the experiences that each participants shared during our discussion and the trainer was clear and easy to understand’
All participants who completed their training were awarded a Statement of Completion certificate, and a sense of great achievement.
