Highlights from the Worker Ready, Investment Ready Coaching Visits on Tanna, Malekula & Santo
The Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce (VCCI) and its partners, Department of Labour (DOL) and DARD conducted the follow up coaching sessions with selected participants who have been part of the “Worker Ready, Investment Ready Pilot Project on the Islands of Tanna, Santo, Malekula and Moso (which is underway)
The workshops conducted were based on the Seasonal Work Canvas as part of the preparation cycle for Labor Mobility on preparing workers to plan their investment while aboard or from their investment in Vanuatu to achieve their goals.
The team has received a lot of great feedback from participants upon visiting them, that show most of the participants have worked on their investment plan with their families and most have gone into businesses like:
- Retail business,
- Crop farming,
- Pig farming.
- Running a boat business etc.
These businesses will help the participants achieve their goals and sustain their family.
