Part-time role with VCCI – Project Consultant
VCCI is looking for a P/T project consultant and mentor to join our team. This role is not just about project management, it also includes training and mentoring responsibilities to strengthen the skills of our small but dynamic business services team. If you have experience in managing projects, enjoy training and capacity building, and are interested in working across a range of business service initiatives then this is the contract for you. Please note an understanding of blockchain technology is a must for this role.
Main responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the General Manager, the consultant’s main responsibilities are:
- Involvement in project management for several donor funded business support initiatives;
- Training and capacity building of senior members of the business support services team in project management and basic budget management skills;
- Developing, improving and implementing M&E systems and processes to assist in tracking activity successes;
- Improving VCCI’s reporting and communication via a range of channels
- Design and implementation of unblocked cash projects in collaboration with INGO partners.
Location: The contract will be based at the VCCI office in Port Vila, Vanuatu
Duration: The contract is for up to 8 days a month, from 1 May to 31 December 2022
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management or related field;
- 10 years’ experience in a training or training facilitation role;
Required skills and competencies:
- Demonstrated skills in developing, managing and evaluating development projects and programs;
- Experience in implementation of blockchain technology projects;
- Experience working with government and donors;
- A thorough knowledge of the private sector;
- Strong leadership abilities;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Excellent inter-personal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels, including with external stakeholders;
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Bislama, and French an advantage,
- High ethics and a personal commitment to transparency and accountability;
