Vanuatu Business Resilience Council provides Tools & Support to Government
Lead by trainer Irene Titek, the Vanuatu Business Resilience Council (VBRC) has been working with the Public Service Commission to provide Business Continuity Planning training and tools to all senior officers of the Vanuatu Government.
‘Being ready early is so important” says Mrs Titek “We have ready prepared materials and tools which the Government will be able to use to assist with structuring and planning COVID-19 specific business/service preparedness or continuity plans.”
The implementation of free workshops to the Government was quickly organised and took place last week. The training covered many topics relevant to the current situation including risk identification and prioritization of plans to keep services up and running during times of disruption. These new tools and skills will now be implemented across Government to support decision making and the continual supply of required services in a COVID19 lockdown situation.
The Vanuatu Business Resilience Council (VBRC) was established in October 2017 and is a sub-committee of the Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). VBRC is supported by the Connecting Business Initiative (CBi), in collaboration with the UNDP Pacific Risk Resilience Programme (PRRP). Any businesses or organisations requiring assistance are asked to make contact with the Chamber via their website, email: information@vcci.vu or call: 27543
