From Sunny Plantation Days to Organic Dark Chocolates
Thanks to the Industry Development Fund many businesses like Aisen’s have received a boost in its potential and growth. The grant has funded a small storage and office space for the business operations of Aisen Samuel’s AISEN CACAO on the island of Malekula.
Aisen Samuel, who for many years worked at one of Vanuatu’s largest cocoa projects spanning across 500 hectares in the western side of Malekula, gained his skills through his working experience, and became passionate about the Cacao industry. Aisen’s days at the cocoa plantation were not futile, he was inspired to start something of his own. Aisen is the proud owner of Aisen’s Cacao. He runs this business with the help of his children who are actively engaged in the operations of the business.
Aisen collaborates with other farmers and processes cocoa beans; the beans are then sent over to Aelan Chocolate in Port Vila to be made into beautiful dark chocolate bars.
Ever since Aisen received his IDF funds, the business now has a place where the processed beans can be stored and weighed and packed ready to be shipped out of Malekula. Before he had this facility, storage was an issue. Business operations can now run smoothly since there is a safe place to store important documents such as financial records, contracts and other materials. The facility also acts as a retail store where anyone who is interested in Aisen Cacao Chocolate can sample and purchase this high-quality organic chocolate from Malekula.
We cannot wait to see Aisen’s chocolate available in all retail stores across Vanuatu soon. However, for anyone wanting to try this amazing product Contact Aisen Samel to place your orders by calling this number: +6787101430.
