Assisting our productive sector businesses!

From the 21st to 24th of August 2023 VCCI was part of the Public Private Working Group (PPWG) meeting held in Lakatoro Malekula in the lead up to National Week of Agriculture.

The PPWG is made up of productive sector farmers and business owners from across the six provinces and Government counterparts. The meeting was coordinated and facilitated by the newly renamed Ministry of Trade and Commerce and was convened to discuss issues within the productive sector and solutions focused discussions with decision makers within Government.

VCCI joined the three day meeting, sharing with the members its accessible business support services, and delivering two mini practical workshops focusing on knowing what your customers want, followed by a practical exercise on pricing and how to calculate your profit and loss, which was the highlight of the 3 day meeting. Many of our business members had never calculated if they were making money, or not, not having considered all the contributing costs to producing their goods.

VCCI was delighted to meet our business license holder members, and to set our focus on follow up activities in the provinces to help these members of the productive sector grow!
