Public Private Partnership Bill for Vanuatu Consultation
On Thursday 31st August 2023, VCCI Council members participated in an information sharing and consultation meeting focusing on the Public Private Partnership Bill for Vanuatu currently under development.
Collin Tavi from DSPPAC and Mr. Michael Wright, the international legal drafter who is working with the Office of the Attorney General on the drafting of the bill made themselves available to explain the bill and answer questions, and to make suggestions to any changes participants would like to see to the draft bill.
In a nutshell, the Public Private Partnership Bill is an instrument to implement priority investment and infrastructure projects that are aligned with Government development objectives – developed and funded via a partnership between the private sector and public sector.
